A 28-year-old Hungarian construction worker was killed on the set of the untitled Blade Runner sequel, after the set he was taking apart collapsed.
According to a Hungarian news site, the movie had already wrapped up shooting in Budapest and moved on to the next site in Etyek, where it’s currently filming. The construction worker was dismantling one of the sets when it caved in above him.
“The worker was underneath a platform, upon which the set was constructed, when it suddenly collapsed,” Origo Studios said in a statement. “The cause of the accident is not yet known.”
A spokesperson for Origo declined to comment to The Hollywood Reporter on what happened to cause the collapse, only saying that an investigation was underway.
The Blade Runner sequel stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Jared Leto, Mackenzie David, and Robin Wright. It’s set to come out Oct. 5, 2017.
