The opening for HBO’s Game of Thrones is one of the few title sequences you don’t want to skip past during a binge-watching session. But Claus-Marc Hahn might be a bigger fan of those opening credits than the show itself, having built a massive animated version of Red Keep using nothing but Lego and Mindstorms.

It required over 125,000 Lego pieces to realize this recreation, including some marvelously detailed custom minifigures representing characters from the series. And as intricate as the castle is, Lego fans might find what’s underneath the Red Keep even more impressive. All of the animated features are powered by four individual Lego Mindstorms EV3 controllers, which are responsible for the spinning turrets and towers that appear to rise out of the ground.
