Samurai Jack Is Getting the Awesome, Extras-Packed Complete Box Set It Deserves

Earlier this year, Adult Swim presented the fifth and final season of Genndy Tartakovsky’s much-loved, Emmy-winning animated series Samurai Jack. The show may be over, but it’s getting a fitting send-off with Samurai Jack: The Complete Series, a gorgeous box set that contains every episode and plenty of top-notch extras.

Check out the killer packaging:

The episodes it contains have never looked or sounded better, according to an Adult Swim press release, which also divulges some hints about the bonus materials:

Featuring all 62 heart-pounding episodes of the critically acclaimed animated show, Samurai Jack: The Complete Series also arrives with action-packed bonus content including exclusive featurettes, behind the scenes looks and special commentary. Fans will also relive the first four seasons in HD for the first time as each episode has been remastered to perfection. The box set also features a one-of-a-kind metal art print, created especially for the show’s devoted fans.

If the box set’s $113 price is too rich for your blood, you can pick up season five by itself on DVD or Blu-ray (for $25 or $30 depending on the format).

Other news Samurai Jack fans can use: the season five soundtrack (produced by Tyler Bates, and composed by Joanne Higginbottom and Dieter Hartmann) is also getting its own digital and streaming releases this fall. And, a remastered version of The Premiere Movie—which dates all the way back to season one, circa 2001—will be getting a special theatrical release on October 16 (check here for more details and to see if it’s playing near you).
