In addition to Star Wars Rebels, we've got another animated Star Wars series on the horizon, this time animated in the style of LEGO. In a six-part miniseries, Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales will retell each of the original and prequel Star Wars movies from the perspective of C-3PO and R2-D2.

The Hollywood Reporter brings us news of this new animated series. Apparently, it will start after the Battle of Endor, with the Droids telling their own version of events to an assembled audience, starting from The Phantom Menace and ending with that Ewok party. It's not surprising that we're seeing more kid-focused Star Wars media in the wake of the Disney acquisition (like Rebels, Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales will air on Disney XD) and with The Force Awakens on the horizon, but this could be fun, light Star Wars fare.
