This trailer for Sherlock’s fourth season managed to escape the closing maw of the San Diego Comic-Con on its final day. Sherlock himself might have wished it hadn’t, given that it shows his life going completely to pieces, new villain Toby Jones looking very pleased with himself, and lots of guns, helicopters, and explosions, which very rarely are good things in Holmes’ and Watson’s world.
There’s no premiere date for season four just yet, but I imagine the arrival of this trailer means we’ll get it in the near-ish future, presumably next January—the Beeb loves releasing new Sherlock episodes in January for some reason.
